Introducing the TWM Songwriters Guild

 

The TWM Songwriters Guild exists to:

  1. Help local church songwriters around the world publish and release their worship songs so more people can hear and use them.

  2. Encourage churches to sing worship songs from a wider variety of writers, bringing fresh sounds and expressions to worship services.

How it Works

  • Guild members submit original worship songs meant for congregations to sing together (not solo performances or artist-focused songs).

  • You don’t have to be a worship leader, but you do need a desire to write singable songs for the Church.

Each round:

  1. 80 members submit one song each.

  2. You’ll be assigned 20 songs from other members to listen to and review (you can listen to more if you want).

  3. All members give feedback and vote for their favorites.

  4. Eight songs will be chosen to be professionally recorded and featured on PraiseCharts and Tommy Walker Ministries — becoming part of the first-ever “TWM Songwriting Guild Album, Volume 1”, recorded live!

How to Participate

We will be utilizing the Audius platform which allows you to upload your song for others to hear, receive comments on your song, and provide comments for others.

Step 1: Create an Audius account in one of these ways:

Step 2: Create your profile

  • Choose any username (e.g., @iloveworshipmusic), but use your real name on your profile.

Step 3: Upload your song

  • Once uploaded, copy the links to your song and your profile.

Step 4: Fill out the sign-up form (you’ll need the links from Step 2 and Step 3).

WHAT’S NEXT?

When we reach 80 members, assignments will be sent out. Since this is our first time doing this, we’re not sure how quickly we’ll reach that number — so please invite your church songwriter friends to join!

FAQ

Can I submit a co-written song?

Yes — just make sure all co-writers are aware it's being submitted. Only one person should upload and represent the song in the Guild.

Will my song still be eligible if it's already been released elsewhere?

Yes, as long as you (or your co-writer) still retain the rights and it's not under an exclusive publishing agreement.

What format should my audio file be in?

Audius supports common formats like MP3 and WAV. A rough demo is totally fine — no need for polished production.

Is there a deadline?

Not exactly. We start once 80 members have signed up, so the sooner you upload your song and complete the form, the sooner we begin.
