The TWM Songwriters Guild exists to:
1. Empower local church songwriters from around the world to publish and release their worship songs for a wider audience to hear and use.
2. Inspire and encourage the Church to sing worship songs from a more diverse group of writers, expanding the sound and expressions in their worship services.
How it works
Guild members submit original worship songs meant for congregations to sing together (not solo performances or artist-focused songs).
You don’t have to be a worship leader, but you do need a desire to write singable songs for the Church.
Each round:
80 members submit one song each.
You’ll be assigned 20 songs from other members to listen to and review (you can listen to more if you want).
All members give feedback and vote for their favorites.
Eight songs will be chosen to be professionally recorded and featured on PraiseCharts and Tommy Walker Ministries — becoming part of the first-ever “TWM Songwriting Guild Album, Volume 1”, recorded live!
Instructions
To participate, we will be utilizing the Audius platform which allows you to upload your song for others to hear, receive comments on your song, and provide comments for others.
Step 1: Create an Audius account using a computer browser. (Chrome is recommended)
Step 2: Upload a profile picture. (You will need a profile picture ready to upload in order to complete the sign-up process.)
Step 3: Upload your song.
Step 4: Once you’ve signed up, created your profile, AND uploaded your song, fill out the form below to join the Guild. You will need the two, specific links to both your song and your profile.
Once we have 80 songwriters signed up for the Guild, assignments will be sent out to you with 20 of the 80 songs to you review and some guidelines on what to consider when you’re listening.
Since this is the very first time trying anything like this, we don’t know how long it will take to have 80 people sign up, so spread the word to all your Church songwriter friends!
