2020 Songs - “Running Back to You” feat. Tavi Jinariu
Running back to God is not something we do one time in our lives; it is something that has to be repeated over and over again. For me, when I take a step back, I realize that I am often running to things other than Him to fulfill the longing of my soul. Success, the praise of man, money, entertainment and the list can go on and on. BUT, I’m left empty every time! When I was writing this song, I was reminded of the line, "prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love" from the hymn, “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.” However, the best news is - we serve a God that is not a list rules. He Himself, the Person, Jesus Christ is the source of all our satisfaction! I pray this song will inspire us all to return to Him once again!
